Title of Course:  Making the Most of an iPad in an Elementary Classroom

Windsor, July 26 - 28, 2016

Catalogue Description:  iPads are a very powerful tool in the elementary classroom!  They can be utilized effectively whether you have access to one or many, and whether they are available to you daily or less frequently.  By using an iPad’s built in features and carefully selected high quality apps, you can engage with content in interactive ways, find information in an instant leveraging the ‘anywhere, anytime’ capabilities of this amazing device, and create and share powerful projects, individually or collaboratively.  In this hands-on session, we will examine best pedagogical practices for using iPads to support learning by exploring a variety of apps, working on sample projects, and creating and sharing resources.  Session activities will be adaptable to multiple grades and curriculum areas.  We welcome teachers with any level of experience with an iPad - come and share in this wonderful mobile technology adventure with us.  BYOiPad!
